This month will see Artist-in-Residence, Michelle Pujol, explore the importance of daily drawing and how to get the most out of your botanical sketchbook or journal.
Through her design journals, a daily practice of sketching and observing the flora around her, Michelle will show participant’s examples of the application of line drawing, colour splashes, journaling and photography. Michelle will demonstrate tips and techniques and then encourage participants to draw in the gardens and apply their learnings to their own botanical journal entry.
Michelle believes that drawing plants is a great way to practice your skills whether you are a beginner or a practising artisan. Her simple techniques teach observation skills and give you the confidence to start a daily / weekly visual journal and enjoy sketching and connecting to nature.
