This Copacabana oceanfront holiday house has sold to Sydney family.
A white washed eco retreat style property in Copacabana has been sold for $2.525 million, snapped up by a Sydney family as their new weekender.
The buyers had been eyeing off the home at 179 Del Monte Place before coronavirus hit and came back to it after returning from an overseas holiday.

It is not hard to understand why Sydneysiders like to escape here.
“They were originally looking at Macmasters Beach but fell in love with this one,” agent Kyle Brand from George Brand Avoca Beach said.
“They had to self quarantine for two weeks after an overseas trip, but went back to looking after that.”
Sold in just 36 days, Mr Brand said that interest in prestige property was good, despite coronavirus lockdowns.

“There isn’t an increase in inquiry, but it is definitely there,” he said.
“It’s generally coming from the Sydney market, probably around 80 per cent. Wealthy people with secure jobs have no reason to be concerned by market changes. I’ve had some buyers trying to get discounts, but these types of property are never as badly affected.”
The five-bedroom Copa home includes large glass doors that frame views over the veranda, with coastline stretching all the way along to Sydney’s Northern beaches.
White washed interiors make this the ultimate old school beach house.

An upstairs kitchen includes stainless benches, European appliances and outdoor servery window that connects to a covered entertainment area.
With four individual outdoor terraces and the beach just three hundred metres away at the foot of the hill, the coastal village vibe is hard to beat.
‘Copa’ is home to a small strip of shops that include a bottle shop, pizzeria and brand new eat-in bar.
There is also a delightful little bakery called Burnt Honey that sells delicious pastries that are popular with locals.
“Copa is so quiet through the week and is a great spot for families. The local school has a really good reputation,” Mr Brand said.
