Vogue Australia initiative pushing for more women in technology

In 2020, Vogue Australia introduced an all new digital sequence, ‘Vogue Codes’, showcasing regional and worldwide speakers to motivate woman innovation, which Vogue Australia Editor-in-Chief Edwina McCann discussed with Sky Information.

In Australia and around the world, females are underrepresented in Science, technologies, engineering, arts and math fields.

“The info was just atrocious, the variety of younger gals who were engaged in ‘STEAM’ education ended up genuinely poor,” Ms McCann advised Sky News.

“We made a decision that we ought to leverage the Vogue manufacturer to appeal to more gals into places of technological innovation and think about a occupation in technological know-how,” she stated.

‘STEAM’ education refers to an approach towards learning that is focused on Science, Technological innovation, Engineering, The Arts and Arithmetic.
