A woman charged with murdering Ballarat woman Kobie Parfitt has refused to appear before court and been remanded in custody to return on the same day as her co-accused.
Shannon Jeffrey chose to stay in her cell in custody rather than appear before Ballarat Magistrates Court on Monday after she was charged last week with one count of murder.
Ms Jeffrey, 32, was already in custody on other offences when she was charged with murder.
Ms Parfitt, a 43-year-old mother of four, was last seen alive on April 28 last year and what are believed to be her remains were found at the bottom of a mineshaft in Snake Valley, about 25 kilometres west of Ballarat, on December 22.
